If the season is not managed properly, the shop runs out of control. When the shop runs out of control, everyone is running around being too busy. When the staff are too busy, many things can get missed. When things are missed, client dissatisfaction settles in. When client dissatisfaction settles in it leads to a lousy client experience. When the client has a lousy experience it builds into a bad marketplace reputation. A lousy marketplace reputation can very easily put the business out of business.
